In October of 2008 I asked the Lord for the truth and when I did my eyes were opened - I have learned that the most important thing I can do to follow God is to follow his Son. Walk with Him. Listen to Him. Ask Him questions. Pray and allow Him to reveal the answers to me through His Holy Spirit. Let Him lead the way.
I find that in keeping a relationship close to God through His son, Jesus Christ, it is His help alone that I am able to keep the commandments and bear fruit of the Spirit that leads to a peaceful and enriching life. His words speak to me from the Living Bible just as He speaks to me in prayer – He and I talk on a daily basis. I just love Him and His work he is doing in me as I continue in my new found faith and I am so excited!
The reason for my hope today is because God has revealed to me the truth of His plan through being made anew, or becoming born again through the blood of Jesus. When I accepted and believed that Jesus died for my sins and the sin of mankind, my heart changed. I became born again - the Words in the Bible spoke to me like it never has before. My mind is constantly renewed and I am witnessing Christ in my life and finding where the path is to follow Him. My spirit is growing each day I walk with Him. I call this blog Walking with God because now, unlike ever before in my life, I have began my relationship with God's son, Jesus Christ.
I have learned that God wants a relationship with me while I am here on earth. I know that He loves me and wants me to return to Him for eternity. I pray I can be a reflection of His love so that others might know Him.
